When your schedules don't line up
When one of you works early and the other works late, or one travels while the other holds things down at home, it's hard to stay connected. Conversations happen in passing, and small misunderstandings grow.
Counseling gives you a set time each week that belongs to the two of you.
How it works
We follow Brief Directive Marriage Counseling™: six weekly sessions with a clear shape.
- We start from one agreement: you are both committed to making the marriage work.
- We talk about the past once, so the situation is clear.
- After that, sessions stay on what you're doing now and on the agreement you make with each other.
- We meet weekly to check that the new habits are being practiced.
- By the sixth session, you two should be holding yourselves to the changes you named.
It's a focused, six-session approach, and I actively guide you toward change. We know what isn't working. Now we put the changes in place. If you're living in the past, you're not building a future. You're just practicing the problem.
