When the season of life changes
After years of raising kids or building careers, some couples look up and realize they've been running a household, not a marriage. The quiet can feel strange. Old frustrations you never had time to address come back to the surface.
This is a good time to decide, together, how you want the next chapter to look.
How it works
We follow Brief Directive Marriage Counseling™: six weekly sessions with a clear shape.
- We start from one agreement: you are both committed to making the marriage work.
- We talk about the past once, so the situation is clear.
- After that, sessions stay on what you're doing now and on the agreement you make with each other.
- We meet weekly to check that the new habits are being practiced.
- By the sixth session, you two should be holding yourselves to the changes you named.
It's a focused, six-session approach, and I actively guide you toward change. We know what isn't working. Now we put the changes in place. If you're living in the past, you're not building a future. You're just practicing the problem.
