When life changes faster than your relationship can keep up
Big transitions put pressure on a marriage: a new baby, a new role, a move, a parent who needs more help. You're both doing your best, and you still end up feeling alone together.
When you're both stretched, needs go unspoken, and small misses start to feel personal. Naming what you each need, out loud, takes a lot of pressure off.
How it works
We follow Brief Directive Marriage Counseling™: six weekly sessions. We talk about the past once, then keep the focus on what you'll do differently.
It's a focused, six-session approach, and I actively guide you toward change. We know what isn't working. Now we put the changes in place. If you're living in the past, you're not building a future. You're just practicing the problem.
Video first, in person if you like
Sessions are by secure video. You both need to be in California during the session, and you can join from the same room or from two places. If you'd like to meet face to face, my office is in Los Gatos.
