Couples therapy that fits a San Jose schedule
You're busy. Long commutes, tech jobs that bleed into evenings, kids' activities, and family nearby who need you too. When the relationship gets squeezed, small resentments pile up and conversations turn into the same fight on repeat.
My office is in Los Gatos, about 15–25 minutes from most of San Jose (Willow Glen, Almaden, Cambrian, Downtown, Evergreen, Berryessa). If driving doesn't work some weeks, we can meet by video instead. Many couples mix the two.
What we work on
- Communication that has turned into criticism or silence
- Rebuilding trust after an affair or a broken promise
- Sharing the load: chores, money, parenting
- Feeling more like roommates than partners
- Cultural or family-of-origin differences, including blended and multigenerational households
A clear, short structure
I use Brief Directive Marriage Counseling™: six weekly sessions with a defined goal for each one. Each week you'll leave with something specific to do.
It's a focused, six-session approach, and I actively guide you toward change. We know what isn't working. Now we put the changes in place. If you're living in the past, you're not building a future. You're just practicing the problem.
Short and structured works well for couples who want to know what they're signing up for. You know the time commitment and the cost before you start.
